SUMMARY:#SIWAHIKINGCLUB - Achasan & Yongmasan Hiking Course
DESCRIPTION:As the weather is getting warmer\, we are excited to explore more of the beautiful trails in Seoul. This month we venture out on a popular hike and take a part of the Seoul trail surrounding the South Korean capital.  \nAlong the Seoul trail there are 28 stamping locations\, where you can collect the unique stamps in an official booklet handed out at admin offices. Once all 28 locations are visited and stamps collected the enthusiastic hikers are awarded with a Seoul Trail Completion Certificate at Seoul Management office. \nWe will meet at ACID Coffee near Gwangnaru station (exit 2) and make a stop at the Achasan admin office to grab our booklets\, so we are ready to collect the first stamps. After that we continue on a gradual ascent to the summit of Achasan\, then walk over to the second summit at Yongmasan and a few hours later finish at Yongmasan station.  \nPut on your hiking shoes and join us to have fun\, explore the beautiful nature around Seoul and collect those stamps! 😉 \nP.S.: Please note\, the starting time for this hike has changed. SUMMARY:SIWA Monthly Book Club: “MIDNIGHT LIBRARY” by Matt Haig
DESCRIPTION:“A feel-good book guaranteed to lift your spirits.”—The Washington Post \nMatt Haig\, the author of award-winning children books and number one bestselling novels for adults\, takes you on a journey that explores the choices and regrets that make up a life. Sometimes we all wonder how our lives might have been if we had made different choices at any point in our lives. Would we end up in the same place? Or would it be fundamentally different? Any happier? Truly better?  \nIn this enchanting story\, Nora Seed faces the same questions\, when she ends up between life and death and wakes up in the Midnight Library\, where the shelves are endless and the books are all about her life. One book is about her actual life and the others allow her to try another life she could have lived with different choices. All exploring the best and worst that could happen. Are any of them more fulfilling and worth living?  To get out of this magical place on time\, she has to search and find the answer within herself.  \nRead this emotional story and celebrate the power of ordinary choices in the next Book Club. \n  \nEvent date & time: 2023.05.12. 10:30 – 12:00 \n  \nEvent host: Sejung Jang\, bookclub@siwakorea.com  \n  \nVenue / meeting spot: Paris Croissant Hannam-dong \, 서울 용산구 독서당로 78 (한남동) 청화빌딩 \nNaver map: http://naver.me/xaP7LmuL  \n  \nNr of participants: unlimited \n  \nAdditional Information: BC events are exclusively for SIWA members.  \nIf you want to plan ahead\, next month’s book is “MARTIN EDEN” by Jack London.
