Our volunteering opportunity brings you to the kitchen of Anna’s House, where supporters and volunteers prepare and serve 500+ warm meals daily to homeless people and adolescent runaways.
Anna’s House was established in 1992 by Father Vincenzo Bordo, an Italian priest who dedicates his time and life to serving those in need. At Anna’s House, they are committed to working for underprivileged people living on the streets, let them be homeless adults, runaway street kids or abandoned elderly.
Anna’s House offers food, clothes, and medicine to solve daily physiological needs, while also providing legal and psychological counseling, work opportunity, long-term shelter and a safe space.
SIWA volunteers can help out with the cooking preparations in the Soup Kitchen. Please note that there is no designated coordinator for the event on the day, so feel free to take initiative, support where needed, and enjoy being an active part of the experience.
This volunteering opportunity takes place every first and fourth Friday of the month.

Arrival instructions: When you arrive at Anna’s house, please go down to B1 and introduce yourself in the kitchen by saying you’re from SIWA. The team will know you’re a volunteer and will guide you from there.

Registration opens on the first day of the previous month and closes the day before the event date at 6 pm.
