Wine tasting at the first Natural wine Forum by Le Moulin Seorae
Come and experience the natural wine movement at Le Moulin Seorae by learning what natural wine is about and how it is produced. Ms. Mikyung Cho, Seoul Wines & Spirits’ director and sommelier will share her knowledge of what makes natural wines unique in terms of their production, its effects on the taste of the wine, the impact on the wine industry and on the environment.
During the event you get to taste 3-4 different neutral wines selected by Ms Aeri Kim, owner of Le Moulin and SIWA member. The wines will be accompanied with flavourful finger food. Participants will have the chance to stay for dinner and further wine tasting at their own expense.
Le Moulin Seorae is a casual French wine bar offering a wide range of international wines, which are selected by French wine experts. The venue, true to its name, is located in Seoraemaeul, also known as Seoul’s “Little France” district.
This forum is hosted by SIWA in partnerships with Le Moulin Seorae and Seoul Wines & Spirits.
Our sommelier and guest speaker is Ms. Mikyung Cho, who is a French government certified sommelier (La Mention Complementaire Sommellerie – 프랑스 정부 공인 소믈리에 자격증 취득) and a certified lecturer at Bordeaux Wine Association (CIVB – 보르도 와인 협회 인증 강사).
Her educational background is in French Language and Literature at Sookmyung Women’s University (숙명여대 불어불문학과 졸업), which further fuelled Ms Cho’s passion towards french culture and culinary. She finished French Sommelier College with honors (CAFA Formation – 프랑스 소믈리에 전문 학교, CAFA Formation 수석 졸업) and spent her internship years at Hotel du Vin Harrogate, which is part of the luxury Harrogate Hotels in UK.
Currently she is the marketing director of Seoul Wine & Spirits (SWS – 서울와인앤스피릿 마케팅 이사) with valuable work experiences gained at several wine importer companies and wine bars & restaurants in Korea. Her educational background is in French Language and Literature at Sookmyung Women’s University (숙명여대 불어불문학과 졸업)
This event is open to members and non-members.
Ticket price: 55,000 krw per person
Guests have an option of staying for dinner after the event at their own expense.
