SIWA Summer Scenic Hike – Seodaemun to Inwang Mountain

Get ready for a breathtaking journey. We will walk from Seodaemun Station to the peak of Inwangsan, which offers stunning 360-degree views of Seoul. We will then continue down to Changuimun Gate, where we can refill our water bottles and rest at the coffee shop. 

(*Participants who prefer to end the tour at Changuimun Gate can quickly return to the city by taxi or public bus.)

For those eager to continue the adventure, we will follow the Seoul City Wall up Bugaksan, then descend towards Gyeongbokgong. We can enjoy lunch together or head to Anguk Station, Line 5, for our journey home. 

The total length of the hike will be around 8km, and it will cover a mix of terrain, including roads, stairs, forest trails, and some rocks. Please wear comfortable shoes with good support and traction for safety.

Venue: Depart from Seodaemun Station, Exit 3.  211 Pyeong-dong, Jongno District, Seoul.

Meeting spot: We will meet at Seodaemun Station (Subway line 5), Exit 3 at 9:50 am and walk together.

• Free for SIWA members and their guests.
• 10,000 KRW for Non members (Payment is required before the event)

Additional Information:
What to Bring;

• Water (Places to fill up with water are limited; bring enough to keep you hydrated for 2 hours.)
• Sun protection (Sunglasses, hat, sun cream)
• Snack (There are limited places to purchase food; please bring a snack.)
• It may be a hot day, and you may want to change clothes for the journey home. But pack light so your bag is not heavy. 
• You should use a backpack so you can use your hands to hold onto railings if needed.
