The Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art, located on the eastern end of Itaewon, is the wealthiest, best stocked and most talked about Private Museum in Seoul, lavishly funded by the Samsung Foundation of Culture. It contains both Traditional Arts and Modern Arts sections, as well as several National Treasures. Musuem 1 is designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta and Museum 2 is by French architect Jean Nouvel. In addition, Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas designed the Samsung Child Education & Culture Center.
