Since 1962, an organization called SIWA (Seoul Internationa’l’s Women Association) was founded. Seoul’s premier international women’s organization with a rich and long history, SIWA has hosted the largest fundraising international event in Seoul fifty-six times; this year, it’s time for the 57th edition.

Distinguished guests such as St. Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) and other prominent policy makers and ambassadors have been supporting SIWA’s activities since its conception, and this year is no different. Since it has begun, SIWA and Diplomatic Community Bazaar has raised more than KRW 3 billion. In the last year alone, SIWA raised approximately KRW 70 million and supported more than 20 charities.

Veronia Koon, the president of SIWA, believes that the Bazaar is one of the most important events of the Women’s Association. She shared that “all of the proceeds from the Bazaar go to Korean charities that are carefully selected, evaluated and monitored by the SIWA Welfare Committee. We feel tremendous gratitude for the continuous and generous support of our participants in the Bazaar, which allows us to keep on providing the funding needed by these charities.”

Come and enjoy international food, crafts and unique products from around the world. It will be a day of cultural performances, international shopping, and community.
