Sun Young joined SIWA’s Executive Committee recently, and she is excited to be working with likeminded people toward bringing forth positive changes in the community. She grew up in Korea and the US, and lived in Hong Kong until she relocated back to Seoul in 2014 with her husband and three daughters.
She is passionate about the wellbeing and education of disadvantaged children as well as cultural exchange and preservation. Sun has taken part in philanthropic organizations and cultural preservation societies during her years in the three countries. Since moving to Seoul, she has been enjoying her time volunteering at her children’s school. Sun holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Yonsei University in Seoul and a Masters and Ed. M in developmental and counseling psychology from Columbia University.
