Yashoda moved to Seoul from India in August of 2021 with her husband and 3 year old son. She has a Masters in Social Work and Gender studies. In India Yashoda worked with Central and State Government agencies implementing services, which respond to violence against women. Joining SIWA was an obvious choice for her since she has always been interested in working with and for women. She also finds SIWA a great platform to meet women from across countries and cultures, which in her experience makes the transition to a new city, especially in a new country, a lot smoother and less challenging.
She truly believes in the strength of women, which as a community, can make a difference.
