Join SIWA member Katrin Karl for a visit to Leeum Museum of Art.
The Leeum Museum of Art, located on the eastern end of Itaewon, is the wealthiest, best stocked and most talked-about private museum in Seoul, funded by the Samsung Foundation of Culture. It houses both Korean traditional arts and modern arts sections, as well as several national treasures. Museum 1 is designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta and Museum 2 is by French architect Jean Nouvel. In addition, Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas designed the Samsung Child Education & Culture Center.
