On April 9th, The Heritage opened at the main branch of Shinsegae Department Store, in the historic 1935 building of the former Joseon Savings Bank—now Seoul’s Tangible Cultural Property No. 71. Embracing Korean aesthetics and tradition, The Heritage introduces the House of Shinsegae Heritage, a brand dedicated to celebrating Korean craftsmanship and daily life through exhibitions, workshops, and a curated gift shop.
The fifth floor immerses visitors in Korea’s cultural and culinary legacy, blending tradition with modernity. The debut exhibition, “Embracing and Delivering,” showcases the artistry of bojagi, traditional wrapping cloths, reimagined by eight textile artist teams, including Kim Soo-yeon and Onnubi.
The Dessert Salon complements the experience with elegant Korean confections and teas, offering a refined taste rooted in ancestral wisdom and aesthetics.
We will start with a tour of the House of Shinsegae Heritage, and then go to the Dessert Salon where guests can enjoy tea.
