We will dive into the city’s dynamic world of Art and culture and explore contemporary architectural gems amidst the beautiful surrounding scenery. Paju City holds immense historical and military significance: It is bordered by Gimpo City to the west, Yangju City and Yeoncheon County to the east, Goyang City to the south, and Kaesong City (North Korea) and the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) to the north.
Our half-day excursion promises a captivating exploration, beginning with a visit to the renowned National Folk Museum, offering insights into Korea’s rich cultural heritage. Then, we’ll delve into the enchanting enclave of Heyri Art Valley, the crown jewel of Paju’s artistic scene. Nestled in the city’s heart, Heyri Art Valley is the largest artistic community in Korea, boasting an array of galleries, museums, exhibit halls, concert venues, theaters, charming cafes and restaurants, and creative living spaces for artists.
Together, we will wander through this creative haven, where every corner resonates with artistic expression, from quaint bookstores to bustling art shops and unique living spaces for passionate artists. Prepare to be enchanted by the seamless interplay of creativity and natural beauty that defines Paju’s unique landscape.

The National Folk Museum
The National Folk Museum in Paju, opened in 2021, is a vast storage facility housing over 1 million artifacts and archival materials in 15 storage rooms.

Heyri Art Valley
This vibrant neighborhood is a creative hub for workshops, exhibitions, and education in various arts. After an orientation, participants can freely explore museums, galleries, shops, and more based on their interests.

Lunch at Mochuisle
We’ll enjoy lunch and coffee at one of the area’s most renowned restaurants, known for its distinctive architectural design.

Return to the departure point.
After lunch, participants can choose to extend their exploration independently. They can return individually using Bus #2200 from the main gate.
