Sometimes you just need a SIWA Coffee Morning (CoMo) to shake up your morning routine. Our April Coffee Morning is a special one in honor of Earth Day — an annual event celebrated globally since 1970 to support environmental protection. We will have a special guest speaker from SFOC (Solutions for Our Climate) talking about climate action and making an impact.
Our Guest Speaker:
Emma Nijssen grew up in California and pursued her studies in Seoul and Geneva, experiences that shaped her global perspective. She has called Korea home for the past six years. Her career in international development has taken her through organizations such as the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), and the Green Climate Fund (GCF), where she gained deep insights into climate finance and international cooperation.
This year, Emma joined the International Communications team at SFOC, driven by a mission to spread awareness about climate change—its causes, its far-reaching impacts, and the actions we can take. She firmly believes that indifference to climate change often stems from a lack of understanding, something that remains all too common.
She is always happy to discuss, exchange ideas, or answer any questions!
