SIWA & International Community Fundraising & Food Festival at the 10th Jamunbak Arts & Culture Festival
Since its founding, SIWA has been a resolute community for women from around the world to connect, support, and empower each other. While discovering and learning about Korean history and tradition through exploring the arts and culture, members also contribute their talents and ideas to help improve the lives of those in need by raising funds by hosting various events and forums, including the annual bazaar and gala. SIWA has raised over KRW2 billion in support of Korean charitable organizations since 1962 and has fostered underprivileged communities through volunteering and financial assistance.
This year we are excited to spice up our annual fundraising bazaar by turning it into the SIWA & International Community Fundraising and Food Festival. Supported by selected embassies, the Seoul Hansoo Rotary Club, and several vendors, in collaboration with Jamunbak Cultural Forum and Jongro-gu, we are pleased to bring you the delicacies, unique flavors, and tasty dishes of the Diplomatic Community. In addition, we invite you to discover the works of local artists and craftsmen.
SIWA’s mission is to positively impact our communities through collaborations focused on empowering women, serving disadvantaged youth, promoting environmental sustainability, and exploring arts and culture. All proceeds from our fundraising event will go towards Soyang Rainbow Children’s Home located in Gadeok-do, Busan, and Open Arms Korea, charities working with abandoned and orphaned children
