This non-fiction book is not evidence based scientific survey nor a sociological study, rather it is based on real life stories from Perels’ 30-year long  work with couples. She takes you on a journey to understand the pain caused by  infidelity in relationships, the dilemmas couples go through before, during and after the affair, the questions one asks from themselves and the ones one gets from friends, family, the personal and cultural expectations towards relationships and the various facets of the situation from each individual’s perspective.

Often, people judge the person who has committed infidelity and see the partner as the victim. But, every story has 2 sides to the coin.
