K-Art & Culture: Visit to Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House) & Seochon Village

We will visit the Cheongwadae (Blue House), the residence and office of the President of Korea, a historical and cultural space that spans the past, present and future. Located with Bugaksan Mountain in the background, Cheong Wa Dae has been the official office and residence for Korean Presidents from 1948 to 2022.

After our visit to Cheongwadae, we will explore Seochon village and Tongin market to taste Gireum Tteok-Bokki, a dish made by stir-frying rice cakes in oil and seasonings. Our tour will conclude with a relaxing coffee break. 

This month’s K-Art & Culture program will be led by SIWA member Ludy Chung supported by Claudia Baek.
