After our wonderful tour at the Korean Najeon (mother-of-pearl lacquerware)in Seoul Museum of Craft Art (SeMoCA) , we will take you to a small group workshop to have hands-on experience with this special material and to make your own unique mother-of-pearl design for a business card holder.
Korea’s mother-of-pearl craft has a long history of craftsmanship that developed over centuries and is characterized by rich expressiveness and delicacy. Korean artistry developed hand in hand with the exceptional shell processing technology allowing diverse shapes, cuts and thickness of various shells.
Now you can learn the traditional techniques of inlaying with master artisan Lee Young-ok and create your
personalized one of a kind memory of your time in Korea, its art and culture.
