SIWA Collective Volunteering: Women for Girls Sewing Project

As part of SIWA’s Volunteering Series, we invite our members and their guests to take part in a meaningful, hands-on initiative supporting girls’ health, dignity, and education through World Vision Korea’s Basic for Girls campaign.

Guided by SIWA’s core mission to create both local and global impact through meaningful and sustainable initiatives, we are also collaborating with our impact partner, Green Climate Fund (GCF) Women. Through this collective volunteering effort, we hope to empower girls and women in marginalized communities around the world.

In this session, participants will sew reusable menstrual pad kits to be distributed to girls in need in Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia—helping them stay in school and manage their health with dignity.

This event is more than a volunteer activity—it is an opportunity to contribute to a global effort that supports women and girls through care, empathy, and collective action.

No prior sewing experience required.

Number of participants: up to 30

Participation fee: ₩20,000 (cost of one menstrual pad kit) *Each kit you create will be donated through the Basic for Girls campaign, including packaging, postage, and educational support.
